Caprice flew into Dublin on Tues for the Launch of TV3's newest show 'Style Wars' where ten contestants compete to co-create the next ‘By Caprice' fashion line in Aurora Fashion's international offices.

Angela Woods, Head of Design at NCAD, mentors the contestants while, Caprice, Irish designer Peter O'Brien and Ian Galvin, Chairman of the Aurora fashion empire (Coast, Karen Millen, Oasis, Warehouse) judges their efforts.

Hollyoaks to Shakespeare for McCarthy!

Hollyoaks actor Gerard McCarthy has landed a role at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

The 29-year-old, who recently filmed his final scenes as bisexual crossdresser Kris Fisher, has been cast as Fenton in Shakespearean comedy The Merry Wives Of Windsor.

The humorous play follows womaniser Sir John Falstaff, who sets about wooing two wealthy married women.

Speaking recently, McCarthy said: "I'm ecstatic to be working at Shakespeare's Globe. The Merry Wives Of Windsor is a hilarious play and I'm looking forward to working with such an exceptional cast, directed by Christopher Luscombe."

Luscombe commented: "The audition for Fenton in The Merry Wives of Windsor was quite a test - we needed a handsome, witty young actor, who could handle some really tricky Shakespearean verse, play the guitar and sing beautifully!"

He added: "We cast the net far and wide, but Gerard was the clear winner - he made it all look easy, which is a great gift. I'm really looking forward to working with him."

McCarthy is due to begin rehearsals within the next few weeks and will make his stage debut on August 14. The play runs at The Globe until October 2, before touring to Los Angeles and New York.

The production then returns to the UK in November for several dates around the country.

Mr World walks the Red Carpet!

Kamal Ibrahim was born and reared in Limerick City to an Italian mother and Nigerian father. His rare mix of genes allowed Kamal to take up a successful career as a model and host in Ireland. In 2009 he entered and won the "Mr. Ireland" contest and in 2010 saw Kamal represent his country, along with 73 others in the Mr World contest in South Korea where he was crowned Irelands first 'Mr World' in one of the largest and most respected pageants in the world.

With his growing reputation as one of Ireland’s most well known and respected models, Kamal, along with his international accomplishments, has now branched into the genre of entertainment, in particular TV, radio and presenting work. Since winning the title of Mr World Kamal has been thrown into the center of media attention in Ireland and the UK and has featured in every Irish national paper and appeared on TV shows such as Ireland AM, Podge & Rodge, Live from Studio 5 and ITV’s Entertainment Now.

Although still at the early stages of his presenting career, Kamal has already interviewed for, featured in and presented an impressive array of Stage & Internet TV shows including Interviews with the overnight phenomenon ‘Crystle Swing’, The legend Irish band ‘The Cranberries’, Stage shows such as 'Toys for Big Boy's and Sea Sessions music festival - ‘Comedy on the Rocks’

As a model Kamal continues working on catwalks all over Ireland and in some of the largest productions in the country such as the Munster Wedding Fairs, The Brown Thomas Trunk Shows, Ireland AM & The Afternoon Show. Internationally Kamal has walked the catwalk for Andre Kim, South Korea’s most famous designer for his charity fashion line.

Inspired by "Variety" , the childrens charity to which Kamal gives his support, he gives motivational talks to youths and young adults to help them realise their dreams and recognise their opportunities.
