It is with great sadness that Red Carpet learned of the sad passing of Simon MacCorkindale.

At the age of 58, Simon who had been battling cancer for more than four years died peacefully in London on Thursday. Simon was not only a true gentleman but was one of Britians great actors. His death is a huge loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.

Simon will be sorely missed.
