Roxanne Pallett, nominated as Best Actress and Sexiest Female during her three years in ITV’s ‘Emmerdale’, is to star in a16-city UK tour of the American jukebox musical, ‘Rock Around TheClock’.

‘Rock Around TheClock’, has already wowed audiences around the world. It opens for a week-long run at Windsor Theatre Royal from Monday June 14 - Saurday June 19, then continues to Nottingham RoyalConcert Hall, GlasgowKing’sTheatre, LeedsGrand, Newcastle Theatre Royal, DartfordOrchard Theatre, Winchester TheatreRoyal, Woking New Victoria Theatre, Blackpool Grand, Birmingham Alexandra Theatre, Stoke Regent Theatre, Bristol Hippodrome, Shrewsbury Severn Theatre, Bromley Churchill Theatre, Buxton Opera House, Tunbridge WellsAssembly Theatre, Coventry Belgrade Theatre, ending on Saturday September 18.

‘Rock Around TheClock’ shake, rattle and rolls all the way back to the fantastic 1950’s to the time of Teddy Boys, quiffs, Brylcreem, poodle skirts and blue suede shoes. It features a non-stop hit parade of Rock and Roll classics, including ‘Great Balls of Fire’, ‘Jail House Rock’, ‘Blueberry Hill’, ‘Shake Rattle and Roll’, ‘Good Golly Miss Molly’, ‘Johnny B. Goode’ and many more, made famous by Buddy Holly, Bill Haley and His Comets, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Elvis Presley, The Platters and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Roxanne Pallett turned down a pop record deal when she won the part of Jo Stiles in ‘Emmerdale’ that launched her as one of the nation’s most loved soap stars. With nominations for Best Actress, Sexiest Female and Best Storyline for her agonising role of femme-fatale-turned-battered-wife, she proved to be more than just a pin-up. Roxanne showcased her vocal talent on ITV’s ‘Soapstar Superstar’ and was the winner of ‘Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes’, singing as Gloria Estefan. She recently starred on ITV1’s ‘Dancing on Ice’, then joined Torvill and Dean on their 25th anniversary ‘Bolero Tour’. Roxanne has just completed her first Hollywood film, ‘Lake Placid 3’.
